The Amelia Peabody Charitable Fund is an independent private foundation, established by Amelia Peabody in 1964 and dedicated to continuing her philanthropy.
In the 20 years until her death in 1984, Amelia Peabody personally directed more than $8 million in charitable giving from the Fund. Since then, the trustees have reviewed more than 5,000 applications and awarded more than $140 million in grants.
Today, the trustees seek to perpetuate the interests and work of Amelia Peabody—and to keep something of her intellect, gentility, compassion, curiosity, and artistic spirit alive in the world.
All grants are made in support of specific capital projects and purchases to achieve specific objectives.
